We offer LOW-COST and FREE mobile pet healthcare services. Our website CALENDAR reflects a current schedule of our clinics. The CALENDAR is updated on a daily basis to assure you of our most up-to-date schedule.
WE FOCUS ON DEDICATING OUR SPAY & NEUTER SERVICES TO THOSE PET OWNERS WHO CANNOT AFFORD TO UTILIZE THE SERVICES OF A REGULAR VETERINARY HOSPITAL. WE RESPECTFULLY ASK THAT ANYONE WHO HAS A REGULAR VET OR WHO CAN AFFORD TO SPAY/NEUTER THEIR PET ELSEWHERE, TO PLEASE DO SO AND NOT TAKE THE SPOT AT OUR MOBILE CLINIC WHICH SHOULD BE USED FOR A PET WHOSE OWNER CRUCIALLY NEEDS OUR SERVICES.
Our mobile unit has limited space. Taking the spot of another pet needing our services may result in that pet never being fixed. This may ultimately contribute to pet over-population, needless suffering, and continued euthansia of abandoned and surrendered pets. Thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and compassion.
Please note that during adverse weather conditions or other unforeseen emergency situations such as the deployment of our team and mobile unit to disaster-hit areas, clinics may be canceled without calendar revision. If you have an appointment which must be cancelled due to such an occurrence, you will be notified by email or by telephone. You will then have the option to receive a full refund of your co-payment or a credit towards another appointment date.

PETS MUST BE HEALTHY TO UNDERGO SURGERY.Any pet exhibiting signs of illness or having a notable abnormal skin condition or signs of any type of infection will not be considered for surgery until such time that the condition is resolved.
A PRE-SURGICAL GERIATRIC WORK-UP (certain diagnostic testing) IS RECOMMENDED FOR DOGS OVER A CERTAIN AGE. That age varies between different breeds; however, it is always recommended for those over seven (7) years of age.
PETS MUST BE CURRENT ON THE VACCINATIONS LISTED BELOW and PROOF OF VACCINES MUST BE SUBMITTED PRIOR TO YOUR PET'S SURGERY DATE. Acceptable proof of these vaccines is a Vaccination Certificate issued by a veterinarian licensed in the United States or a true and correct copy of an invoice containing your pet's information, owner information, and the name, address & telephone number of the veterinary facility which provided the services.
DOGS: Rabies, Distemper, Hepatitis (Adenovirus Type 2), Parvo, Parainfluenza , Bordetella
CATS: Rabies, Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calici Virus, Panlukopenia, Leukemia
We cannot schedule a pet for surgery if it recently completed its INITIAL series of vaccines within the past fourteen (14) days or if it received its FIRST Rabies vaccination within that time. Vaccines may take up to one or two weeks post-inoculation to provide adequate or anticipated immune response against disease.
PETS MUST BE FREE OF FLEAS, TICKS & OTHER PARASITES. In an effort to keep our unit and all of our "guests" tick and flea-free, if we find ticks or fleas on your pet, we may cancel/postpone its appointment and/or we will apply appropriate flea/tick medication to your pet. For this reason, it is important that you notify us if your pet has received a flea/tick/parasite control medication/product within 4 weeks prior to its surgery date so that we do not administer any additional medication which could be harmful if administered again too soon.
(Such medications/products include any: shampoo, dip, spray, topical suspension (drops), oral medication or flea/tick collar). Pet owners will be charged $10 for any such medication administered to their pets. Payment shall be made at time of intake or discharge of pet.
PETS MUST WEIGH AT LEAST FOUR (4) POUNDS.
PETS MUST BE AT LEAST FOURTEEN (14) WEEKS OF AGE.
ALL PETS NOT ALREADY MICROCHIPPED WILL BE MICROCHIPPED AT TIME OF SURGERY. A $20 fee is required which includes the microchip implantation and microchip registration.
WE DO NOT NORMALLY PERFORM STERILIZATIONS ON PETS WHICH ARE PREGNANT or IN HEAT. Certain exceptions may apply.
WE MAY DECLINE TO PERFORM SURGERY ON A PET IF ANY OF THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS ARE NOT MET.

We normally schedule appointments at least several weeks in advance, but you are welcome to contact us to see if any particular clinic has an available appointment or if you would like to be placed on a waiting list.
TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT
1) PLEASE GO TO OUR WEBSITE "CALENDAR" to view our clinic schedule.
Each clinic posted on our Calendar contains specific details about that particular clinic, including participation eligibility requirements and if the clinic is offered at low-cost or no-cost.
2) COMPLETE and SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS (only if you meet the clinic participation eligibility requirements as posted on the Calendar):
* PATIENT INTAKE and RELEASE & WAIVER FORMS. (Scroll to bottom of page). Please use one Patient Intake form per pet. (If a person or organization is sponsoring you, please write your sponsor's name at the top of the Patient Intake Form).
* MICROCHIP REGISTRATION FORM. (If pet is not already microchipped).
* YOUR PET'S MOST CURRENT VACCINATION RECORDS. (Submit valid proof as described above).
Submit all documentation via EMAILheart4pets.firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are unable to submit by email, fax to: (657) 444-2210. However, faxing documents may result in a delay in scheduling your pet's appointment, and all appointments are scheduled on a "first-to-submit" basis. IF WE DO NOT RECEIVE ALL OF THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS, WE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT FOR YOUR PET.
WE WILL CONTACT YOU UPON RECEIPT OF THESE DOCUMENTS TO SCHEDULE THE APPOINTMENT FOR YOUR PET. DO NOT SUBMIT YOUR PAYMENT UNTIL WE HAVE CONTACTED YOU TO CONFIRM YOUR PET'S APPOINTMENT DATE.
3) AFTER WE SCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT, PLEASE RETURN TO THIS PAGE TO SUBMIT YOUR CO-PAYMENT or REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT. At the time we schedule your appointment you will be notified of the amount you must pay (if anything). TO SUBMIT PAYMENT, please follow the instructions below.
Choose the appropriate line item and "Add to Cart". Remember to include your $20 payment if your pet will be receiving a microchip. You do not need to have your own PayPal account to make your payment below. You will need to repeat this for every pet for which you are scheduling an appointment.

YOUR PAYMENT IN FULL WILL SECURE THE APPOINTMENT FOR YOUR PET(S). PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE to help ensure unnecessary cancellations. However, if an emergency occurs which is out of the pet owner's control and results in pet owner's inability to keep the scheduled appointment, we may, at our discretion, re-schedule the appointment for another time, or we may consider providing a partial or full refund based on the circumstances. There will always be a $3 processing fee for any refunds for any reason other than the SCVVC's cancellation of an existing appointment. We appreciate your understanding that we are also a disaster response unit, so there is a chance we may be deployed on a moment's notice when a natural disaster emergency arises such as fires, floods & earthquakes. Although these occurrences are rare, it may be necessary for us to cancel your appointment. In that event, or for any reason that your appointment must be cancelled by the HEART, you will receive a full refund.
